This project was a culmination of that developing work and how we were able to communicate their brand message and identity as we knew it so well. The power of building strong relationships with clients.

Roq are a Lancashire-based company that operate in the world of quality engineering and software testing. We’ve worked on many video projects with Roq over the years, assisting them in capturing events, interviews with key team members and now defining their current brand message.

Via a re-brand, they sought to redefine the core values of their business and emphasise exactly what their brand stood for.

When they came to us, they had completely new brand assets alongside a very clear message that they wanted to communicate with their clients.

The Project Brief

By its very nature, a rebrand is a very visual activity. Following a rebrand, you are left with all new brand assets, including a lovely new logo. 

Roq wanted to be able to show the new branding in all its glory whilst also clearly communicating what their brand represented. The visuals needed to be utilised to their full effect, but a core message also needed to be instilled in the video content.

With a motion-graphic based animated video, we’d be able to utilise the new branded assets to create a visually striking piece of content. This need to support the question driving the rebrand; Who is the business and what does their brand represent?

This would then result in

  • 1x Animated brand reveal video
  • 1x Animated brand value proposition video

How We Approached It

One video would focus specifically on the new logo, revealing what it looked like, as well as explaining what it represented. The second would be a deeper exploration of the brand’s value proposition, looking at what the brand as a whole represents.

Two elements of planning needed to run side by side. One side was the visual element. On the other side, the messaging of the video. All of which was driven by animated text and graphics.

With these two plans in place, all that was left to do was begin animating. Following feedback from the Roq team, we were left with two separate videos that worked hand in hand to effectively communicate the company’s rebrand and what it represents to their clients.

The End
Result

As is the beauty of animation, the videos can be adapted and tweaked long into the future. What we created here for Roq, was the foundations of plenty of future animated content.

A refreshed version of the main video was created months later to stay in line with the business’ development. The animated assets have also been utilised in many other videos for the business that also included filmed elements.

Roq were left with two strong, evergreen pieces of content that showed off their branding in an impressively striking way whilst clearly defining what their brand represented.
