BrainBox

Year 2021 – 2026

BrainBox are a brand of children’s board games owned by the global Danish toy manufacturer, Bezzerwizzer Studio (they’re a pretty big deal). Within the BrainBox range there are loads of different titles, we’re talking Science, History, Football, the list goes on. BrainBox came to us needing a whole bunch of product videos producing to showcase the visuals and mechanics of their game across e-commerce and social media platforms.

The Project Brief

BrainBox sell a lot of their products online. But they wanted their marketing assets to give a clearer depiction of what the game is and how it’s played. That’s where video content comes in.

Via a selection of product videos, the content needed to capture the visuals of the product, key information about it and how the game was played. This was the one moment when being childish and spending our time playing around was actually going to pay off.

On top of this, as BrainBox is a huge brand across the world (we’re talking over 42 countries), each title needed to be produced in multiple different languages.

The key deliverables for the project were;

  • 1x Product Overview Video
  • 1x Product Gameplay Video
  • 2x Social Media Edits

How We Approached It

This brief lent itself perfectly to producing product videos in a studio setting. So that’s exactly what we did.

Approaching it one title at a time, the main step in the pre-production phase was designing the sets. We chose to use coloured backdrops, custom flooring and a variety of relevant props to create a unique world for each product title to exist in.

Close up, detailed shots displayed the product in all its glory. Whilst dynamic tracking camera movements allowed us to showcase the gameplay elements of the game. Once a set was built in the studio, multiple languages could be shot in the same shoot, enabling us to achieve a large quantity of content without the costs skyrocketing.

The End
Result

The whole project saw us produce product videos and social media video content for over 22 different BrainBox titles in over 13 different languages.

The video content has been utilised across e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, to offer customers a more detailed and informative look at the product before they buy. We’re not just about making pretty videos for the sake of it.

The social media video content has also been used on social platforms across the different BrainBox terrorities, helping to continue contributing to 8 million+ games they have sold worldwide over the years.
