The Doori is a coal fuelled tandoori oven that makes tandoori style cooking accessible and possible in a range of cooking styles. The business itself is a startup, with the product being developed ready for an initial Kickstarter launch campaign.
Product is bold and really unique. The team behind Doori wanted to take the barbecuing market by storm and develop a product that had a unique niche in the market. All of these required carefully crafted content to capture their core brand messaging.
The Project Brief
To produce a launch video, product explainer videos, recipe videos and social media videos ready for the Kickstarter and website launch.
From a standing start the whole identity and usability of the product needed to be established via video content. Within these selection of videos we needed to communicate the concept behind the product, clearly demonstrate its easy of use and inspire potential customers with the food they could cook with it.

How We Approached It
Mutiple filming days were planned out over a period of time. The key was to optimise these days to capture as much relevant content as possible.
Using one central kitchen and garden location we were able to film recipes in the kitchen and then outdoor product shots in the garden with the food we’d prepped in the recipe videos.
Setting up an on-location studio also enable us to get the detailed product shots we needed to compliment the rest of the footage in the edit.
The End
Result
A varying selection of footage that showed off the physicality of the products, it’s usability and the food that could be cooked in it.
The resulting edits enabled the startup to populate a successful Kickstarter campaign with impactful content as well as build a website that was highly informative as well as compelling and engaging to prospective customers.
